Who would have thought that a little ad in the Thrifty Nickel offering balloon rides in exchange for crew help in 1989 would lead to 20 consecutive years of ballooning for Tony Sandlin?

Tony received his FAA Commercial License for Hot Air Balloons in 2005 after attending the Balloon Excelsior Flight School in California. Currently, Tony has two different hot air balloons. Tony’s three boys and his wife Gail are all active in ballooning and join him at the
many balloon festivals held throughout the US and abroad.

Tony is a savvy businessman, currently involved in several business ventures, two of which are geared around balloons. Tony is also active in numerous referral marketing and networking opportunities where he is able to share his business acumen with others and help them grow successful businesses as well. He has been a member of the Givers Gain chapter of BNI Indiana (Business Networking International) since 2004. He also serves as an Assistant Director for several BNI Indiana chapters. Tony has been a member of the Rainmakers networking organization since 2004 and is a 2007 graduate of the Referral Institute. Previously, Tony held the title of President of the Independent Association of Newspaper Distributors of Indiana (1997) and President of the Montgolfier Society of Indiana Balloon Club (2004).

Today, Tony and his wife, Gail live in Fishers, Indiana.
